Year 7 Parents evening is on Monday 6th February 2012

Carlton Community College, a new learning centre with specialisms in both Science and Performing Arts, opened on September 7th 2009.

As part of the Building Schools for the Future scheme our new building provides the state-of-the-art facilities that all of our learners deserve. The new site is at Carlton and the building opened on January 17th 2011.

We have now completed our first term in our new building with all pupils and staff under one roof and are able to take advantage of the opportunities provided in our new learning environment.

Many of the community aspects of the college are in operation; some adult learning classes have started and a full programme will be in operation later in the summer term. Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are also being used extensively by community groups every evening and some weekends.

All prospective pupils will have the opportunity to attend additional learning experiences throughout the year, including sessions with their future form teachers. There will also be the opportunity for parents to speak to a member of staff on an individual basis to address and discuss their children and any information, support or concerns that need to be shared.

Parents wishing to discuss any matter or seek clarification at any time should not hesitate to contact school at either campus to make the necessary arrangements.
